In the early Middle Ages, the
Arma Patria
(weapon fathers) were senior squires, who although
they had not gained knighthood, were allowed to carry an array
of arms and act as tutors. Inspired by this, ARMA has now
developed a special program to offer our experience in helping kids
learn about Medieval and Renaissance history and fencing arts.

"A knight should be bold, fair,
courteous and well-mannered, generous and
loyal, not foolish or rash, and should speak
fairly without discourtesy. A knight should
be all this, and also proud and fierce to
his enemies, and kind to his friends."

The ARMAs kids club is intended also to instill an
appreciation for historical European fencing arts by presenting it in a

& Renaissance martial arts for kids.
Parents / Teachers
- Take advantage of ARMA-Youths program for teaching about
history, culture, exercise, and knightly virtues. Young people need
to be informed as to the true accomplishments of Medieval and
Renaissance cultures. A major role of ARMA is education
especially youth education, and now with ARMA-Youth we aim to teach
children and teens about their Western martial heritage and the
merits of Western civilization. Primarily aimed at the age
group 12-16, ARMA-Youth aspires to teach our youth to become
physically fit and active in the development of their minds and bodies. We
teach a Code of Chivalry a system of discipline and social
interaction that is derived from historical values. ARMA-Youth
instructs in the Knightly Virtues of Generosity, Courtesy, Honor,
Courage, Pride, Loyalty, Humility, and Unselfishness.
