"Fechters" with Bidenhander great-swords in the 16th Century by Franz Brun, Wien (Vienna) copperplate. On the left side, note the staright aimed Hanging gaurd and the reverse pommel gripping.   On the right side, note the stepping and prepartion for a strong cut.  Note the symetrical footwork enabling balance and power.  On the ground lie two practice rondel daggers with very small ball-points.  The child in the back holds a sword which appears to have just been drawn curved and in two parts.
